Query No. 21 BMA Stationery in Sarawak

I have attached a scan of the BMA Malaya registered stationery, which is used in Miri, Sarawak. Was this stationery issued in Sarawak/North Borneo? Any other known reported by SSS members?

I do not know of an authorisation for BMA Malaya postal Stationery to be used in Sarawak in 1948 and have not seen anything like this before. The rate of $1.60 would seem to be 2 x 80c being one ounce to the US which is correct hence the registration seems to have been accepted as paid for by the 15c BMA embossing of Malaya.

Perhaps the sender from Posts and Telegraphs gives the game away?
